The purpose of this page is discuss what YHWH chose the Hebrew people for. What was to be there purpose for being chosen? HE did not choose them merely to show favor to a group of humans.
While a number of people think it has something to do with them somehow being superior, I will attempt to show in this page that was not the reason.
I believe I will be able to show, with Scripture, that the Hebrews were selected to be a role model to the rest of the world as to how YHWH wants us to act as individuals and as a poeple.

7 "For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?" (KJV)
8 "And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?" (KJV)

A people set apart for YHWH.
A more peculiar people than all the nations on the earth.

A light to the nations.
6 "I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;" (KJV)
7 "To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house." (KJV)
A light to the nations.
6 "And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth." (KJV)
