Ruth Chapter 1

Ruth 1:20

20And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.(KJV)

Naomi/Na'omi - my delight; from 'no`am' (5278); pleasant; Noomi, an Israelitess:--Naomi.; (5278) - from 'na`em' (5276); agreeableness, i.e. delight, suitableness, splendor or grace:--beauty, pleasant(-ness).; (5276) - a primitive root; to be agreeable (literally or figuratively):--pass in beauty, be delight, be pleasant, be sweet.

Mara/Mara - bitter; for 'mar' (4751) feminine; bitter; Mara, a symbolic name of Naomi:--Mara.; (4751) - or (feminine) marah {maw-raw'}; from 'marar' (4843); bitter (literally or figuratively); also (as noun) bitterness, or (adverbially) bitterly:--+ angry, bitter(-ly, -ness), chafed, discontented, X great, heavy.

1And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.

Boaz/Bo'az is a very interesting name!

Why did he need ten (10) men? Why ten?
