I need to research the use of the word 'Judah' as it relates to the word 'Jew' in Scripture.

12And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.(KJV)

This could be an analogy to the ceremony of bedikat chametz (the search for leaven) ceremony performed on the night before the Passover.

'4For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.' (KJV)

Gaza/Azzah - strong place; (H5804) - feminine of '`az' (5794); strong; Azzah, a place in Palestine; ~ 90km southwest of Jerusalem; (G1048) - of Hebrew origin (`Azzah 5804); Gazah (i.e. Azzah), a place in Palestine:--Gaza.

Ashkelon/Ashqelon - holm-oak; (H831) - probably from 'shaqal' (8254) in the sense of weighing-place (i.e. mart); Ashkelon, a place in Palestine; ~ 75km southwest of Jerusalem

Ashdod/Ashdod - stronghold, fortress; (H795) - from 'shadad' (7703); ravager; Ashdod, a place in Palestine; ~ 60km west of Jerusalem; (H7703) - a primitive root; properly, to be burly, i.e. (figuratively) powerful (passively, impregnable); by implication, to ravage:--dead, destroy(-er), oppress, robber, spoil(-er), X utterly, (lay) waste.

Assyria/Ashshur - the nation ruled from Asshur (first) and Nineveh (later); north east of Jerusalem in modern day Iraq [See Also: Assyrians/Ashshur]; (H804) - or iAshshur {ash-shoor'}; apparently from ''ashar' (833) (in the sense of successful); Ashshur, the second son of Shem; also his descendants and the country occupied by them (i.e. Assyria), its region and its empire:--Asshur, Assur, Assyria, Assyrians. Nineveh/Ninewĕh - the capital of ancient Assyria; ~ 550km north east of Jerusalem in modern day Iraq; (H5210) - of foreign origin; Nineveh, the capital of Assyria:--Nineveh.

I think Nineveh is today called Mosul Iraq

Zephaniah 2:15

15This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.(KJV)

I wonder if the phrase, 'say in your heart, I am, and there is none beside me' means they are claiming to be god or denying the existence of the Holy Spirit (which is blashphemy).
If they are claiming to be king, or denying that there is a King, that is blasphemy.
If they are not claiming to be the king, who is their king?

Zephaniah 3:15

15The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.(KJV)

This seems to indicate that it is during the millenial reign as haSatan will be bound in chains during that time.

Zephaniah 3:17

17The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.(KJV)
