Introduction:

The purpose of this page is to document references to the Holy Land Covenant between YHWH and Abraham and to detail the terms of the Holy Land Covenant.

Scripture References:

1Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

YHWH is telling Abram to leave his country and go to a land that YHWH will show him.

2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

YHWH is telling Abram that HE will bless all those that bless Abram and curse all those that curse Abram AND in Abram ALL the nations of the earth will be blessed.

This means all the people of the earth and not just the Hebrews and certainly not just the Jews as NONE of the 12 tribes exist at this point.

7And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. (KJV)

YHWH promises Abram that he will give Abram (and his seed) the land of Canaan. This would include ALL of Abram's seed,

14And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:

15For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

16And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

17Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee. (KJV)

It appears that the area of the land the YHWH is giving to Abram has physical boundaries as it was 'all that he could see' and Abram could walk throught the length and breath of it.

YHWH also tells Abram that 'his seed' shall be unable to be counted. This would seem to indicate that Abram's seed will be more than just the Hebrew people. Once again, Ishmael is also of Abram's seed and Ismael was named by YAHSHUA and blessed by YHWH long before the 12 tribes of Israel existed.

18In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

19The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

20And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, (KJV)

I am unsure how to interpret these verses. YHWH says from the 'river of Egypt' which I presume to be the Nile, to the river Euphrates but then says the people who are in that land. On one hand, I am not sure if the Canaanites inhabited all that land and on the other hand, Abram's relative Lot had already claimed some of that land for his family.

8And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. (KJV)

7The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father's house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence. (KJV)

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. (KJV)

16Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
