What is meant by this word tribute and what did king Ahasuerus/Ahashwĕrosh do when he 'laid' this tribute upon the land?
2And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
What is the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
3For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
Since Mordekai was a Benjamite/Binyamite (according to Esther 2:5), the reference to 'Jew' here must mean either 'person from the land of Judea' or 'person from the House of Judah'; However, his 'seed' would have been Benjamites/Binyamites.
How did Mordecai/Mordekai treat the people that were not his seed?
