INTRODUCTION:

The purpose of this page is to calculate, with Scriptural references, the 3 days and 3 nights that the Messiah spent in the grave. I would also like to develop a timeline to show the day of the week He was crucified and the day of His resurrection.

The feast of Unleavened Bread is held on the 15th through the 21st days of the first month (Abib)

Matthew 28:1

1'In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.' (KJV)

Since it is the end of the Sabbath and it is toward the first day of the week, this should be a weekly Sabbath.
This means the Messiah resurrected BEFORE daybreak on the first day of the week.

YAHUSHUA comes to Bethany on the 9th of Aviv/Abib/Nisan
John 12:12

12'On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,' (KJV)

The next day (after the day mentioned in John 12:1) would be the 10th of Aviv/Abib/Nisan (five days before Passover)
