INTRODUCTION:

The purpose of this page is to document Scriptural references to counter the dispensationalist view that there are seperate rules for Hebrews and and the rest of the world.

DISPENSATIONALISM:

an evangelical, futurist, Biblical interpretation that understands God to have related to human beings in different ways under different Biblical covenants in a series of "dispensations," or periods in history

If sin is transgression of Torah (1 John 3:4) and Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, then Adam and Eve had Torah.

  • This was before The New Testament,
  • before there were Jews,
  • before there were Hebrews,
  • before Moses,
  • before Abraham,
  • and before Noah.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:

At this time there are no Jews and no Hebrews.

20'And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.' (KJV)

33'And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.' (KJV)

34'And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the law.' (KJV)

35'There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not before all the congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.' (KJV)

34'Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;' (KJV)

If the Torah is only for the Hebrew people, why is it mentioned here in relation to the Gentiles living in the land.

41'So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.' (KJV)

If the Torah is only for the Hebrew people, why is it mentioned here in relation to the Gentiles living in the land.
