This statement is probably the quintessential response made by Christians when they are trying to avoid HIS commandments or to explain their aberrant behavior.

(Statement:) "HE knows what's in my heart."

(Response:) Yes, but is that a good thing?

YHWH does not respect any person but HE does provide us a means to get back to HIS salvation.

'7But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. ' (KJV)

39Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)(KJV)
