The purpose of this page is to discuss the topic of judging and judgement by man and man-made institutions.

15"Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour." (KJV)

17"Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow." (KJV)

"5And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness." (KJV)

'And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.' (KJV)

Translation Difference

"4Judge them, son of man, judge them! Make known to them the abominations of their fathers." (The ISR Scriptures)

Interesting to note that while in the KJV, YHWH is asking a question, in other translations, YHWH is making a declarative statement.

6Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on thy God continually.(KJV)

15Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.(KJV)

This verse says we are to establish judgement.

'9Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:' (KJV)

"18Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not." (KJV)

"28For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off." (KJV)

"2He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment." (KJV)
