INTRODUCTION:

The original purpose of this page was to collect Scriptural references with respect to the definition of righteousness. The word righteousness has the same definition in Hebrew and Greek, therefore creating a link between the Tenak and the B'rit Hadasha. I have since modified this page to collect Scriptural references to the contextual characteristics of righteousness.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:

1"And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation." (KJV)

Noah was seen as righteous by YHWH.

23"And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?" (KJV)

23"And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?" (KJV)

25"And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us." (KJV)

HIS righteousness shall not be abolished.

HIS righteousness shall be for ever.
