INTRODUCTION:

The purpose of this page is to study the concept of salvation and what it means. Most Christians seem to believe that once they are 'saved' they have their ticket into heaven. The Scriptures do not seem to support this notion but rather suggest that salvation merely means you won't burn in the lake of fire for eternity. I also want to show where salvation is a gift giving to non-Hebrews/Israelites and is something that is available to everyone who believes and obeys the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:

14But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

Saul was anointed king of Israel by Samuel (1Samuel 10:1). But then he turned from doing the word of YHWH and did 'his own thing' as he saw fit and his kingdom was taken from him. He died by committing suicide. I think this is an example of losing your salvation. Saul was definitely looked upon with favor by YHWH but because he became a 'doer of iniquity' he fell out of favor and was punished.

10'And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.'

12'And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. '

2'Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.'

20'Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.'

This sounds a bit like the night of passover.'

11"I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour." (KJV)

7'Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.'

1'Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.' (KJV)

2'Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.' (KJV)

3'Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.' (KJV)

4'For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;' (KJV)

5'Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.' (KJV)

6'Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;' (KJV)

Psalm 5:11

Psalm 69:36

Psalm 119:132

7'Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.' (KJV)

Matthew 21:13

Mark 11:17

8'Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.' (KJV)

32'And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.'

2'But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.'

9'But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.'

7'Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.'

12"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (KJV)

30"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:'

31'Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead." (KJV)

3'And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.'

13'Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.' (KJV)

14'If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.' (KJV)

15'If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.' (KJV)

You will suffer loss but still be saved.

12'Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.'

5'He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.'

Note: This would insinuate if you don't overcome, he will blot out your name from the book of life.
