INTRODUCTION:

The purpose of this page is to collect Scripture evidence relative contrasting the relative peaceful or warlike dogma of religion. I have grown weary of hearing about how brutal and warlike the Muslim religion is by Christians who seem every bit as brutal and warlike as the alleged dogma they oppose. Since I have seen a number of quotes taken out of context and used to denigrate the Islamic religion, I have decided that I will need to purchase a copy of the Qur'an and find out for myself what it says.  In the meantime, I have decided to start collecting quotes from Christian Scripture that, when taken out of context, can be used to show how brutal and warlike the Christian dogma is.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:

6"If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;" (KJV)

7"Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;" (KJV)

8"Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:" (KJV)

9"But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people." (KJV)

10"And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage." (KJV)

17"Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.." (KJV)

18"But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." (KJV)

2"Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt." (KJV)

3"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." (KJV)

33"And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal." (KJV)

21"The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his hand against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to thee over the wall." (KJV)

22"Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and cast it out to Joab. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king." (KJV)

10"Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood." (KJV)

Translation Difference

(Cursed is he who is slack in doing the work of YHWH, and cursed is he who withholds his sword from blood).

10"Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee." (KJV)

10The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked." (KJV)

How does this compare with the Christian and Jewish claim that the Islamic religion is not peaceful?

22"The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:" (KJV)

23"That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same." (KJV)

How does this compare with the Christian and Jewish claim that the Islamic religion is not peaceful?

10"And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?" (KJV)
