INTRODUCTION:

The purpose of this page is to offer advice on living a spiritual life according to Scripture.

YHWH is fully and completely in charge. Nothing can happen that He does not allow. We are unable to do anything good and lasting for Him if His Spirit does not bless it--so the most important thing we can do is to listen for His voice, and obey it.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:

6Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

It is true that we should want to do all we can for Elohim (and if we do not want to do all that we can for Him, then we have a heart issue). However, before we set out to do anything special for Him, the very first thing is that we need to pray, and seek both His direction, and His blessing.

1Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Hearing YHWH's voice (and obeying it) is the most important thing we can do. It is a hidden central theme that runs all throughout Scripture.

5Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

We can also ask YHWH for more of His wisdom--and when He sends it, we need to stay in touch with it, and not quench it. (Wisdom is a manifestation of His Spirit, and if we quench it, then the wisdom goes.) But this is basically still "listening to His Spirit."

5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

13If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Stay humble and repent.
